Is MWR Life a scam?

No. MWR Life is neither a scam or pyramid scheme.

Although they don’t have tangible products to sell, they are still considered a legitimate Multi-Level Marketing that specializes in various services like electronics coverage, insurance, etc.

Some of you might argue that MWR Life is really a Pyramid Scheme in disguise. Although I agree to some degree, MLMs are technically legal.

They are legal because you receive something of value in exchange for your so-called investment. And these values are in the form of products or services that can be sold to consumers.

Pyramid schemes are illegal because they are high risk, and the likelihood of losing money is way much higher than earning profits.

Either case, I don’t recommend MWR Life or any MLMs for that matter.

Conclusion

The above is a review of MWR Life. It looks at everything you should know about this company, what it offers, etc.

The company is a travel Lifestyle Company. It employs direct selling or multi-level marketing business model to achieve its aim.

The whole idea behind it is that individuals can sign up for membership and enjoy savings on their travels. They can also share opportunities and earn passive income through the “You Economy” program.

You can become a lifestyle Consultant and work with a team that will help you get rewards.

Lifestyle Consultants can be promoted to various ranks like a manager, senior manager, area manager, district manager, regional manager, and National manager.

Final Thoughts

The company seems to have some good services which is an integral part of a good network marketing company and you could certainly create a life-changing income with an opportunity like this. One thing I will say is that you shouldn’t get too caught up in the ‘glitter’ being shown to you within the marketing material as building any business (online or offline) takes time, hard work and dedication.

Perhaps the biggest issue I have with a company like this is how they teach people to build their team, primarily warm market techniques. In other words, chase friends and family to build your organization. That’s just not a good approach in my opinion and it rarely leads to the kind of wealth being portrayed in the sales videos.

Whatever you decide, at least now you have a better idea of what the company is about and can make your own mind up about joining.

Ways You Can Earn

There’s 11 different ways you can earn with this company but for the sake of keeping things simple, and not just re-writing the compensation plan, I’ll stick to the core of what is being offered to reps.

Customer Commissions

For a start you will earn a $25 once off bonus for every customer you personally enrol, regardless of which package they sign up for. You also earn a monthly residual of $0.50 for each customer you personally enrol after the first month. As you progress through the leadership ranks you can earn anywhere from $0.25-$8.00 per month on top of that from customers right throughout your organisation, unlimited levels deep.

Team Commissions

This is where you can earn monthly residuals based on your ‘qualified resellers’ 7 levels deep and ranges from $0.50-$3.00.

If you sponsor 3 people (in three separate legs) who each sponsor 3 people, you’ll be eligible for $500 per month. You can also earn 25% commissions on your direct referrals entire pay if you start out as a gold or platinum member.

Bonuses

MWR Life really has a compensation structure with a lot of different bonuses throughout. A lot of them either hinge on achieving things in a relatively short amount of time or don’t really become worthwhile until you reach the upper ranks within the company. While these bonuses can be good they are really not what most people should be relying upon as a main source of income.

The MWR Life business opportunity

The compensation plan is like any other MLMs out there.

How they work mainly depend on two things—

You may see different ways-to-earn features, but it basically revolves around the said factors.

Most MLMs make their compensation plan as complicated as possible to evade potential recruits in ask many questions.

And then, to completely save their selves, they would just show how much you could earn by investing in them.

They show you luxury cars or mansions they own, but the truth is that they are only creating a lot of hype to make you spend some money and do the work for them.

With this being said—is MWR Life a scam? Are they just a pyramid scheme in disguise?

Well, not necessarily. Although there are scam MLMs like AdvoCare, it doesn’t mean that all MLMs are scam or pyramid schemes.

Some of them are legitimate, and I’m not saying that it is impossible to make earnings with them.

Well, it is possible for the 1% of people who join them according to research conducted by the FTC (Federal Trade Commissions).

Their business model is so flawed that 99% of people who join are likely to fail than succeed (which I’ll be explaining in the later sections).

MWR Life calls its representatives as a Lifestyle Consultant (LC). But for simplicity, I will refer to them as a consultant in this review.

What are its income streams?

And now, let’s briefly explain them one-by-one.

Fast Start Bonus

It’s a common feature in every compensation plan of MLMs.

It is their way to encourage new members to recruit more people, and in some way, motivate them to stay with the company.

The newly recruit consultant earns a $200 bonus if they’re able to recruit three new elite consultants into the company for the first twenty-one days.

In addition, they state that they are qualified for a Fast Start Bonus restart if they are able to make the requirement in seven days.

Can you make a reliable income from MWR Life?

Success and earning reliable income in MLMs are extremely rare. Just ask the Federal Trade Commission. ()

It was found that 99.997% of people who join MLMs lose money than earn anything. It means that the loss rate is virtually 100% if you rounded off the figure!

This instance was also elaborately discussed in Jon Taylor’s book, “Multi-Level Marketing Unmasked.”

It was further explained that MLMs fail to meet expectation because of two things—

Capitalization

You have to settle monthly fees even if you don’t earn or incur losses. Thus, it eventually leads to the consultant quitting the business.

Recruitment

It is the bread and butter of MLMs. It is where most of the consultants’ income will be coming from.

Recruitment becomes problematic if they were unable to recruit sufficient people under their network.

Of course, the first people that they have to recruit are friends, loved ones, and acquaintances. And of course, it’s no guarantee that they could recruit all of them.

In most cases, such instances can lead to annoyance and, eventually, resentment among you and them.

The challenging part is when you’re finally done coming to people you know and then selling the business opportunity to those you don’t know.

It is especially difficult for people with no sales background. So as you can see, it is not really for everybody.

MWR Financial Compensation Plan

The MWR Financial compensation plan is fairly straightforward.

Customer Bonuses

You can get your MWR Financial Membership paid for by enrolling three MWR Financial Membership customers.

MWR Financial pays out $40 for each sale.

After those first three customer sales, you’ll earn a $10 per month passive income stream for each customer sale.

Doing nothing else, you can bring in $3,000+ of passive income by selling one customer membership per day for 12 months.

However, building a team will help you earn more customer points and bonuses. MWR Financial pays you $40 on each customer sale brought in by your team.

Momentum Bonus

You’ll earn a Momentum Bonus of $150 by enrolling three Qualified Financial Directors in your first 30 days.

Help three of your Qualified Financial Directors (QFD) enroll three QFDs themselves and you’ll earn a second Momentum Bonus of $450. You must meet this goal in your first 60 days.

In your first 90 days, you can earn a third Momentum Bonus of $900 by helping your three QFDs enroll three QFDs themselves.

Sponsor Bonus

MWR Financial pays out a $50 Sponsor Bonus when your Independent Financial Directors become QFDs in their first 30 days.

But of course, like most network marketing programs, not everything is as smooth-sailing for everyone who joins.

While some people make a lot of money with MWR Life and highly recommend it, not everyone will – that’s just a fact or life.

Also, just like every money making opportunity doesn’t work for everyone, this might not work for everyone.

The Products & Services

They have 4 main products on offer that revolve around the idea of saving people money on everyday essentials such as insurance, electronics coverage, legal, vehicle repairs, medical, and even discounts on holidays and dining.

These come in 4 main monthly membership packages as follows:

These packages currently range from $29.97- $49.97 per month. There is a pretty big lack of reviews online from people having used these products so it’s hard to determine at this stage just how great these products are. The life essentials seems to have some pretty good value but the thing with this kind of thing is you are paying a monthly fee for a ‘little bit’ of everything.

I can definitely see the value overall but I think it would depend on the individual as to how worthwhile some of these memberships would really be. I think the best thing to do would be to conduct your own research based on your own individual and family circumstances before making any decisions.

MWR Life Cons:

Here’s what I didn’t like about this opportunity:

For starters, there’s too much hype!

You’ll see a lot of promises of wealth and luxury vehicles. I don’t really like relying on hype to sell a product because a product should sell itself based on value.

Secondly, in order to remain active with the business you’ll need to earn a certain amount of customer points every month. In other words, the members must spend money on the products in order to continue with the program.

Most of these services require a monthly fee so you’ll need to spend cash each month to remain a member. This normally wouldn’t be a problem, but when you add these fees on top of the original package that you purchased, it comes to a lot.

There’s also not much training material and you’re kind of left on your own to figure out how to sell products and services.

You can also choose to purchase a custom-made website that’s essentially a sales page for MWR Life but with your affiliate links. This is what most people do, but it also leads to saturation because everyone promotes the same pages in the same places.

I also didn’t like how the training encourages you to chase after friends and family members.

In my opinion, these are the last people that you would want on your team (unless you happen to have a family of experienced marketers) because they rarely know what it takes to work online.

I also think that some of these services are rather difficult to promote. For example, there’s a service dedicated to computer health and safety, but that’s an already saturated niche, and all you really need to keep your computer safe is a basic anti-virus program.

Financial Edge Customers

Here’s where I find things getting interesting. With many people reaching for their pitch forks and lighting the stakes on fire regarding various MLM companies these days, MWR Financial rates out at an A- (4 out of 5) rating at the Better Business Bureau.

It’s impressive that the company responds promptly to negative reviews. One MWR Financial review revealed a person blaming others for an inability to check into their personal finances.

Many Financial Edge customer reviews at the BBB came in positive. Here are a few:

Hard to know in these situations what happened. For example, the dates don’t seem to line up with the first customer’s complaint.

Still, some of the complaints center around the idea that they think the business operates much as a pyramid scam or scheme. There was a claim of misleading info in their advertisement. They want to protect others from falling into it like they did. Doesn’t hold water for me because you only “fall into” things when you don’t think through things all the way.

Let’s now look at what some of the business builders say. In a world where people try to convince you that every MLM company produces nothing but people losing money, these are insightful.

Is MWR Financial a scam? Certainly not for these folks.

Whereas My Warranty Rewards only offered a warranty plan for $29.97 a month, MWR Life has expanded this offering to include

24/7 Total Home Tech Support – “using remote access, our certified techs will solve your technology frustrations for all types of electronic devices and both hardware and software issues”
24/7 Emergency Roadside Assistance – “coverage includes towing, flat tire assistance, fuel delivery, battery jumps and lock-out assistance”
Identity Theft Protection – “emergency response kit, fraud specialist consultation, attorney consultation and up to $25,000 Expense and Lost Wages Reimbursement”
Legal Access Plus – “talk to an attorney about any personal or business legal matter”
Financial Coaching – “our money coaches are only a phone call away and provide the advanced education, accountability, and support”
Tax Hotline – “consultations are done by phone, and you even have online access to budget calculators, tax tips and tax law change”
Worldwide Air Medical Evacuation – “transportation to a hospital is covered should you require medical attention”

These services are branded under “MWR Life Essentials” and cost $29.97 a month.

A “Vehicle Protection Plan” is also available, however the cost of this plan is currently not provided on the MWR Life website. Having a look at the agreement though, it looks like the monthly cost of the plan might be determined by the type of car being covered.

So is MWR a scam?

In my opinion, it’s not a scam, it’s a legitimate opportunity based on promoting various services.

But I wouldn’t recommend it to people who are new to working online and looking for a way to make some consistent income.

It’s a little too expensive for my tastes and there’s too much hype and requirements. I would much prefer to setup my own online business and focus on promoting a product as an affiliate instead of spending all my cash to join an opportunity that may or may not work.

I’m also not a fan of multi-level marketing businesses because most people are aware of the scams in the industry and are not interested in joining more opportunities. In other words, it’s difficult to get people to join the opportunities.

Instead, why not build your own website that you can use to promote whatever you want, whether that’s your own products or affiliate products. I think that’s a much better alternative and you can learn all about how to do that in this online business training course. What are the promotion requirements for members?

Members get promotion based on their Enrollment Team. There are requirements to be met for each promotion level.

Here are promotion levels and the requirements:

Manager – the requirements include 9 qualification points from a combination of personally enrolled members and/or QLCs.
Senior Manager – 2 legs each with a minimum of 1 manager.
Area Manager – 2 legs each with a minimum of 1 senior manager.
District Manager – 3 legs each with a minimum of 1 Area Manager.
Regional Manager – 3 legs each with a minimum of 1 District Manager.
National Manager – 3 legs each with a minimum of 1 Regional Manager.

Pricing differs depending on how you join MWR Financial. You can pay in three ways:

Financial Director: $99
Sales Rep: $99

As a Director, you’ll also pay a $40 monthly fee for the Business Center.

Getting Started & Staying Active

To get started will cost you between $99-$499 depending on which package you sign up for. It’s unclear what actual product you are buying out of these packages other than the ability to earn the full extent of the compensation plan. The more you pay, the more you commissions you ‘unlock’ so to speak.

A lot of the bonuses and incentives are only applicable when you refer gold and platinum members. Staying active requires having a membership with the replicated website known as ‘Biz Center’ which is $30 per month and a maintaining 5 CP’s every month (customer points).

A certain amount of customer points are associated with each product package and they range from 1 CP to 2 CP’s. In other words, you’ll be paying for services in order to maintain your business every month.

Staying Active= $1319.28*
